Le comité d’organisation du Festival international de Boukornine, sous la houlette de sa directrice Ikbal Hamzaoui, a dévoilé la programmation de sa 44e édition. Prévue au Théâtre de plein air de Hammam-Lif, cette session qui se déroulera du 26 juillet au 13 août 2026 fera dialoguer le patrimoine tunisien avec des sonorités venues d’Amérique latine, du Maghreb et du Proche-Orient.
Les festivités débuteront en grande pompe avec la star libanaise de la chanson orientale, Wael Jassar, qui proposera un répertoire de ballades romantiques pour sa toute première apparition sur la scène de Boukornine. La programmation fera ensuite la part belle à la création tunisienne contemporaine. Le public pourra ainsi apprécier le violoniste Outayl Maaoui et son triptyque instrumental « Sada Al Atlas », sublimé par les voix de Mohamed Ali Chebil et Raoudha Ben Abdallah. Dans un registre plus alternatif, le duo complice Nour et Selim Arjoun livrera une performance alliant tradition et arrangements modernes, tandis que l’icône de la chanson populaire, Walid Tounssi, signera son grand retour à Hammam-Lif pour communier avec ses fidèles spectateurs.
L’ancrage maghrébin sera également au cœur de cette édition, à commencer par la jeune formation algérienne El Besta, qui revisitera le raï traditionnel des années quatre-vingt avec des instruments modernes. Le festival célèbrera de même la richesse du patrimoine andalou à travers le spectacle « Chemin du Malouf », réunissant sur une même scène le Tunisien Sofiene Zaidi, l’Algérien Abbes Rigui et le Libyen Radhouene Chebek. De son côté, Hamza Bouchnak présentera sa création orchestrale « Or KesTra », un hommage vibrant à Lotfi Bouchnak et au regretté Ridha Diki, fusionnant musiques de rue et influences traditionnelles.
L’un des temps forts de cette session réside dans l’ouverture inédite sur l’Amérique latine et les rythmes afro-cubains. Le duo Somos Nai et le célèbre Raúl Paz transporteront les spectateurs vers les plaines de Cuba en mêlant pop, jazz et guajira traditionnelle. Cette exploration se poursuivra avec un double plateau algérien dédié au blues du désert d’Issinara et à la transe mystique de Sultan Gnawa. Le clou de ces escales internationales sera sans doute la rencontre sur scène entre le groupe mexicain Mono Blanco, gardien du son jarocho, et la prestigieuse Troupe Nationale Tunisienne des Arts Populaires pour une soirée d’échange folklorique mémorable.
Le quatrième art sera fièrement représenté par la comédie satirique « Iqamet Chahira », mise en scène par Abdelaziz Mehrezi, ainsi que par la pièce acclamée « El Haribet » de Wafa Taboubi, portée par une distribution féminine magistrale comptant notamment Fatma Ben Saidane. Côté musique alternative et engagée, l’Algérien Amine Babylone enchantera l’assistance avec ses ballades folk, tandis que le duo palestinien Wala Mara fera résonner la poésie du Levant sur des rythmes urbains, suivi du projet expérimental « Gourbi » de Nidhal Yahyaoui, qui fait dialoguer chant populaire tunisien et textures électroniques.
Pour clore cette aventure artistique en beauté, le festival proposera « Catharsis », une création symphonique d’envergure dirigée par le maestro Abderrahman Ayadi, marquant le grand retour sur scène d’Adnane Chaouachi aux côtés de la voix lyrique de la Jordanienne Makadi Nahhas. Enfin, la clôture officielle coïncidera avec la célébration de la Fête de la Femme, portée par les succès populaires de Nour Chiba, promettant une communion festive et chaleureuse pour achever cette 44e édition sous les meilleurs auspices.
