Du 11 au 26 juillet, la galerie Saladin de Sidi Bou Saïd accueille «A Common Thread» (Le Fil Conducteur), une exposition qui fait dialoguer les univers artistiques de Rebecca Mann et Célia Makni. Le vernissage officiel a eu lieu le samedi 11 juillet, en présence de nombreuses figures du monde culturel.
L’exposition entend rappeler le pouvoir apaisant de l’art, capable de faire dialoguer les styles et les sensibilités au-delà des frontières et des étiquettes. Elle met particulièrement en avant le rôle des femmes artistes dans la recherche d’équilibre et d’empathie face aux tensions actuelles.
Le travail de Célia Makni illustre à lui seul cette exigence : l’artiste, qui maîtrise 21 techniques de broderie différentes, consacre plusieurs heures quotidiennes à un travail minutieux, fruit d’un an de création intense. Une démarche de patience et de précision qui trouve un écho dans l’univers de Rebecca Mann, donnant à l’ensemble de l’exposition sa cohérence.
Un rendez-vous artistique attendu de l’été, à ne pas manquer sous les voûtes emblématiques de Sidi Bou Saïd.
