Il s’appelle Nader Masmoudi, math\u00e9maticien tunisien, \u00e2g\u00e9 de 31 ans, et professeur \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de New York.\u00a0 Il a honor\u00e9 la Tunisie en remportant le prix Fermat 2017 conjointement avec l’am\u00e9ricain Simon Brendle et ce \u00ab\u00a0pour ses travaux remarquables, de profondeur et de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9, en analyse des \u00e9quations aux d\u00e9riv\u00e9es partielles non-lin\u00e9aires et en particulier pour ses contributions r\u00e9centes \u00e0 la r\u00e9solution rigoureuse et compl\u00e8te de probl\u00e8mes de stabilit\u00e9 hydrodynamique soulev\u00e9s d\u00e8s la fin du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle par les p\u00e8res fondateurs de la m\u00e9canique des fluides moderne<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. C’est ce qu’avait annonc\u00e9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 math\u00e9matique de France (SMF) mardi 28 novembre 2017.
\nLa c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise du Prix Fermat 2017 aura lieu au printemps 2018 \u00e0 Toulouse, simultan\u00e9ment avec la remise du Prix Fermat Junior 2017. Notons qu\u2019en 1992, Nader Masmoudi \u00e9tait le premier et seul Arabe et Africain \u00e0 remporter la m\u00e9daille d\u2019or aux Olympiades internationales de math\u00e9matiques.<\/p>\n
