\n\tLes infrastructures de la SONEDE ont vieilli et ont grand besoin d’être rénovées et modernisées alors que par ailleurs la société a du mal à suivre, sinon à anticiper, l’extension de l’urbanisation et la progression de la consommation.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tC’est pourquoi la Banque mondiale a accordé récemment un crédit destiné à financer les projets de la SONEDE dans ce domaine. Il s’agit de 19 millions d’euros à titre de financement complémentaire pour le projet d’approvisionnement en eau potable du Grand Tunis.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tL’objectif de ce projet consiste à garantir l’approvisionnement continu en eau potable du Grand Tunis, 24h\/24, tout en améliorant la visibilité financière de la société. Les trois composantes du projet sont les suivantes : améliorer la capacité de la station d’épuration ST4 en réalisant une extension sur le site de Ghdir El Golla près de Tunis par un apport supplémentaire de 1m3<\/sup> par seconde tout en modernisant et réhabilitant les deux vieilles usines ST1 et ET2 de traitement d’eau.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tL’usine de traitement d’eau de Belli, au Cap Bon, sera modernisée et renforcée, car elle assure l’approvisionnement d’eau du Sahel. Il y a aussi le financement et le renforcement de la capacité de gestion de la SONEDE avec l’acquisition de 70.000 compteurs d’eau de haute précision pour les nouveaux abonnés et le remplacement des anciens compteurs, vétustes et défectueux, alors qu’il en faudrait 200.000\/an pour la mise à niveau du réseau de distribution de la SONEDE.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tPrès de 40% des abonnés de la SONEDE, soit 1,6 million de foyers, bénéficieront de ce crédit.\n<\/p>\n
