Le secrétaire général adjoint de l'Union générale tunisienne du travail (UGTT), Hfaiedh Hfaiedh a réagi ce samedi 18 février 2023 aux critiques ayant été portées à l'encontre de la centrale syndicale à l'issue de la rencontre ayant eu lieu vendredi entre le secrétaire général de l’UGTT Noureddine Taboubi et la secrétaire générale de l’Union des syndicats européens (ETUC) Esther Lynch. Cette visite a été en effet perçue d'un mauvais oeil par certaines parties politiques qui l'ont qualifiée d'une tentative de recours à l'étranger. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hfaiedh Hfaiedh a affirmé que cette visite s'inscrit dans le cadre de l'esprit de solidarité entre les syndicats internationaux et n'a rien à voir avec le recours aux forces étrangères. Il a ajouté que la centrale syndicale rejette catégoriquement toute ingérence dans les affaires internes de la Tunisie. Réagissant aux déclarations du chef de l’État qui affirmait que l'action syndicale ne devrait pas se transformer en action politique, Hfaiedh a affirmé que l'action syndicale doit répondre aux ambitions et aspirations des travailleurs et contribuer à lutter contre la corruption et n'a rien à voir avec les affaires politiques. Il a ajouté que la centrale syndicale accorde un intérêt particulier aux conditions socio-économiques tout en s’intéressant à l'aspect politique et aux affaires publiques. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reçue vendredi par Taboubi au siège de la centrale syndicale, Esther Lynch a exprimé sa solidarité avec la centrale syndicale tout en déconnant les pratiques ayant pour but de porter atteinte au droit syndical et aux libertés publiques et individuelles.
