N\u00e9 \u00e0 Tunis, il a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en animant des maisons de culture et des festivals entre 1980 et 1985. Il s&rsquo;est ensuite sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans la production th\u00e9\u00e2trale, collaborant avec des compagnies priv\u00e9es et occupant le poste de charg\u00e9 de production au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre national tunisien de 1987 \u00e0 1992. En 1994, il fonde la compagnie Familia Productions avec Fadhel Jaibi et Jalila Baccar, produisant et distribuant des \u0153uvres th\u00e9\u00e2trales pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans des festivals internationaux.<br \/>\nEn plus de son travail th\u00e9\u00e2tral, Habib Bel H\u00e9di a produit des adaptations de spectacles pour la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, ainsi que des magazines culturels et des documentaires en collaboration avec des r\u00e9alisateurs de renom.
