Il participe \u00e0 une grande comp\u00e9tition \u00e0 Los Angeles, \u00e9tant le seul candidat de nationalit\u00e9 arabe parmi 13 candidats.
\nIl s’agit de remporter le titre \u00ab\u00a0Homme Mondial de l’Ann\u00e9e Eau Libre\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0The Man Of The Year Open Water\u00a0\u00bb, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’ensemble des records battus par les candidats, mais principalement gr\u00e2ce au vote. Nejib Belhedi a donc lanc\u00e9 un appel, dans une d\u00e9claration \u00e0 R\u00e9alit\u00e9s online, \u00e0 tous les tunisiens de le soutenir dans cette comp\u00e9tition qui lui permettra d’honorer, comme il a toujours fait, la Tunisie. Etant le seul candidat arabe pr\u00e9sent sur la liste des participants et avec une palmares de records respectable, il sollicite \u00e9galement tout le monde arabe \u00e0 voter pour lui afin qu’il remporte le titre \u00ab\u00a0The Man Of The Year\u00a0\u00bb.
